Tofu, how to cook it & should you eat it.

Much of the soy in the US is genetically modified, but by purchasing organic tofu, it's guaranteed as GMO - free.

Why add tofu into your weekly mix?

1. Helps ⬇reduce your carbon footprint 🌱

2. It’s an awesome source of calcium for those who need a boost or those who are dairy free

3. It’s less expensive

You don’t need to eliminate your favorite proteins or go completely plant based, the idea is to add variety.



Crispy Tofu Recipe:

1 pack extra firm organic tofu

- Ground Turmeric

- Trader Joe's mushroom seasoning

- Trader Joe's furikake seasoning

- Ground ginger


1. Drain liquid from tofu package. Wrap tofu as shown below in a clean towel. Using a book or a heavy pan, press tofu to remove liquid for at least 20 mins (but can be done for several hours).

2. Remove pan and unwrap tofu. Cut into 32 cubes.

3. Toss in a container along with spiced. Place lid on container and shake until tofu is evenly covered with spices.

4. Place in air fryer for 8 minutes on 400 degrees F.

8 cubes per serving: 100 Cals & 10g of protein

Pair with a starch & veggie for a complete meal
